Spacecraft Found In Afghanistan

As the market researcher at peace dividend trust Afghanistan, I like to analyze the good and service categories PDT-A suppliers are working in so that our team can keep you up to date on all the great sectors our registered suppliers are operating in. With over 5,000 suppliers on our business portal there is bound to be variety. But…spacecraft?

The last analysis found that there are 8 spacecraft suppliers.  Whilst PDT would love to tell you that the Afghan market is so developed that suppliers are competing with the likes of NASA to meet the inevitable demand for Afghan manufactured spacecraft I just can’t with a straight face.

What I can tell you is that the old method of classifying the categories of good and service areas suppliers worked in used The United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC) system. This meant that some suppliers’ products/ services didn’t have an exact UNSPSC code match and ended up under codes that were a best, but not perfect, fit.

The new website (see the PDT Haiti site to see how it will look) expected at the end of this month will change all this. A new categorization system has been designed with the Afghan marketplace in mind so it’s country specific and much more user friendly. Good news for buyers, suppliers and us.

Of course if you still can’t find what you’re looking for then get in touch with our marketplace experts.

If you do want that spaceship though then we can certainly look into it for you.

Funny you should say that, down here in Helmand province we see a lot of strange things flying around at night with long bright fiery tails flowing from the rear. And by the sound of the bangs most if not all are not destined for outer space, more like inner (province) space.

Given the innovation and imagination of Afghan entrepreneurs, finding someone to build spaceships locally should not be a problem! Looking forward to the New and Improved AfghanistanBuildingMarkets website!!
