Emmanuel joined Building Markets in February 2013 as the project manager for the Sustainable Marketplace Initiative in Myanmar. He spent the last 4 years in Phnom Penh working on financial inclusion for low-income people and MSMEs. He was Technical Advisor for SAMIC Microfinance Ltd. and Marketing Manager for WING, a leading social business providing mobile money services in Cambodia. Prior to this South East Asian experience, Emmanuel worked for two years in Kenya and Tanzania as the Commercial Attaché for the French Trade Commission in East Africa, focusing on economic cooperation, Public-Private Partnerships, and market access. He started his career in France in the oil & gas sector, then joined an advertising agency and later the communication department of the Paris Airport Authority. Equipped with a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Reims Management School (France), he is passionate about sociology, psychology, art, and photography, especially social reportage and documentary. He has recently co-written a photo-book about Cambodian migration to Thailand.
