Fatima joined Building Markets in July 2018 as a Project Officer supporting the Project Director, and other senior staff members, with the implementation of Building Markets’ programs in Jordan and Turkey. Prior to her time at Building Markets, Fatima worked at BRAC USA supporting the organization’s development team, as well as its programmatic efforts in the areas of property rights and livelihood development. She also assisted the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group in evaluating the organization's Urban Resilience Operations in Accra, Ghana. Fatima has served in various other capacities across the development space, gaining experience with organizations such as The Kipsongo Project, the Domestic Harmony Foundation, and UNICEF USA. She earned her bachelor's in Politics, with a minor in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, from New York University's College of Arts and Sciences, and her master's in Public Administration, with a specialization in International Policy and Management, from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Fatima is dedicated to supporting efforts that promote resilience and advance sustainable economic development in emerging nations across the globe.
