Well, it’s that time of year again. No, I’m not going to say something cheesy about holiday cheer. It’s that unfortunate time of year when we have to say goodbye to the dedicated and hard-working office employees we call interns – after you make them dawn their legwarmers and perform their favorite scene from Flashdance at the office holiday party, of course.
This time we are particularly sad to say goodbye to Laura Fedoryk, an outstanding and reliable communications intern who kept it together despite some major curveballs thrown her way.
Laura is currently studying for her Master’s degree in Transnational Security at New York University focusing on the connection between security and economic development in post-conflict countries. She previously interned at the nonprofit BPeace, a fantastic organization that supports entrepreneurs in Afghanistan, El Salvador and Rwanda.
Laura did a little bit of everything for PDT, from tweeting to event planning to providing office management support to performing research for development and the projects. She was a valuable blogger, writing about mobile money, peace through entrepreneurship, investing in women and interviewing BPeace CEO Toni Maloney. It’s quite an understatement to say she will be missed.
Best of luck and thank you Laura! We can tell you are on your way to great things!
