Death of James Rogers

It is with profound sadness that I must announce the death of one our Liberian colleagues, James Rogers. James became ill this week and died suddenly Friday morning from Ebola. He is survived by his parents and his brothers.

James was an important, friendly, and valued member of our small business matchmaking team in Monrovia. His colleagues remember him as being very kind, very hard working, and very active with his church. His loss will create a large hole in the middle of our family.

If you would like to send a note of condolences to James’s grief-stricken family, please address them to Scott McCord ( who will ensure they are delivered. Also, please keep our Liberian colleagues and their families in your thoughts. They are struggling with so much right now.

We encourage you to donate in James’ memory to the charity Last Mile Health (, who are training and equipping Liberian health workers in rural areas to prepare for and respond to Ebola.
