The ideal candidate is comfortable using technology and social media, is accustomed to communicating with external stakeholders, performs well under deadlines, and has strong attention to detail. S/he will have strong understanding of Microsoft Office Programs. Additionally, s/he will work closely with the other Building Markets staff members to coordinate schedules, plan events and exchange information.
The Financial Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive and targeted one-on-one consultations to MSMEs participating in the Building Markets’ Champions Program in the waste and recycling sector in Yangon, Mandalay and Mawlamyine.
Building Markets seeks a qualified supplier to design and build a viable system to improve transparency and access to information on recyclable material pricing, potential buyers, partnerships, new technology, and innovation in the sector. Ideally, the proposed solution will help connect entrepreneurs in the value chain and provide them with information that is currently unavailable. This system should be easily accessible to business owners in Myanmar and should consider the need for businesses to work with international buyers to export their products.
The Business Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring comprehensive and targeted one-on-one business consultations in accordance with Building Markets’ Champions Program for MSMEs in the waste and recycling sector in Yangon, Mandalay and Mawlamyine. The design, implementation and monitoring process will be structured around a bespoke road map and tools that the Consultant will develop for each MSME it consults. The position requires the Consultant to develop in-depth analyses of the specific needs and challenges facing individual MSMEs, with a commitment to providing customized guidance/coaching/mentoring to enable MSMEs to take incremental steps towards achieving their goals.
