Communications and Development Manager

Jackie Michaels is a Global Health professional with a passion for helping others. Experienced in cross-cultural communication and impact reporting, Jackie forms connections and partnerships easily.

Jackie is focused on creating a big impact through strategic communication. In her role as the Communications & Development Manager at Building Markets, Jackie plans and coordinates all outgoing messaging including fundraising campaigns. Jackie draws upon her background in Sociology (BA) and Global Health (MS) to connect passion with action. Before joining Building Markets, Jackie previously served as the Humanitarian Aid Coordinator at the non-profit Brittany’s Hope, where she led a number of initiatives including food relief, home builds, and enterprise grants for at-risk families. She feels most fulfilled when working on behalf of vulnerable populations, especially in an international context. Jackie’s work has taken her to Ethiopia, Kenya, The Netherlands, and India.
