Johan Ortega
Research and Analytics Officer
Johan Ortega is an economist with an emphasis on public policy and a Master’s degree in Economics from Universidad del Rosario, where he was awarded the distinction of Colegial de Número, the highest honor offered by the university. He has worked as an economist in the macroeconomic research division at BTG Pactual and as a research assistant at the Tic Tank of Universidad del Rosario, a center for research and consultancy around the ICTs. Recently, Johan worked as a specialist in the productivity observatory at Colsubsidio, where he provided insights and recommendations to stakeholders through in-depth research on topics that include analysis of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and labor intermediation. With over 4 years of experience in research and data analysis, Johan has developed strong expertise in econometric methods and statistical analysis. At Universidad del Rosario, he has also taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses on data science topics.
