Trent Hoole
Previously Building Markets’ Chief Operating Officer, Trent now serves on the Board of Directors and consults on strategy, governance, and operations issues in the private sector. From 2018 to 2020, Trent consulted on corporate strategy, governance, and legal risk management in the international development and innovation for impact spaces. From 2012 to 2018, he served as Corporate Secretary and General Counsel at the International Development Research Centre, Canada, where his responsibilities included corporate legal services delivery, compliance, and corporate governance across the Organization’s global operations. Prior to this, Trent worked in progressively senior legal roles at IDRC and variously at a litigation firm and legal aid clinic, representing clients on a range of civil litigation and administrative law issues. He holds a J.D. and B.A.(Hons) and is a member of the Bar of Ontario, Canada.
