Data, oh data. Numbers used to make my head hurt. I failed Algebra in school, with flying colours. Numbers make my head hurt, largely because they cause me to want to pull my hair out.
In my ongoing exploration of data through Google Analytics I have discovered yet another interesting twist on the numbers. The service allows you to ascertain which pages on the Timor-Leste Business Portal are being viewed most. This is not only interesting because it allows us see which of our services are most subscribed by viewers ie the Supplier Directory or the Tender Directory, but it lets us to know which businesses are getting the most free advertising – and thus quite likely business transactions! Have not figured out how to equate a web hit with money changing hands – any ideas anyone?
During the second quarter (April-June 2010) 1,435 page were viewed a total of 24,800 times across the entire Timor-Leste Business Portal.
Since the data came on stream in an organised way in the second quarter of 2010 (April – June) the below represent the top 50 pages on the Timor-Leste Business Portal. The businesses are highlighted with the Top 10 most viewed businesses being linked to their business cards on the Timor-Leste Business Portal.
Announcing the Timor-Leste Business Portal Top 50 (2nd Quarter 2010)!
In a few days time we will publish the results for the third quarter of 2010. It will be a quarterly affair. So the third announcement will be in January 2011 and so on so forth. You can be sure the businesses on this list will be made aware of their rankings as well. Perhaps even a prize for the front runner? Anyone have a prize to offer?
Comments, advice and google analytics tips are most welcome!
