Six weeks ago my colleague Brigida Soares wrote about the closure of our Bobonaro and Oecusse operations.
News from the east and south is less than good. Today is the final day that matchmaking services were offered in Viqueque and Cova Lima districts on the south coast.
However, its not all bad news, they made alot of money for their clients, and created a bunch of sustainable private sector jobs along the way. You can read about it in English here, and Tetun here.
The Viqueque team did some great work for soybean farmers, and the Cova Lima team were cattle drivers most of the time, helping local agents procure cattle from around the southern region and other parts of the country for export to Indonesia.
