Alexis Scott is an actor, writer, and educator with an eclectic history in education, management, and administration. She has previously served as the Administrative Assistant to the Education Department at Brown University in its initial years of developing the Urban Education Policy Master’s program where she co-produced the first No Teacher Left Behind Conference. Alexis taught elementary school (4th, 5th, and 6th grades) at the Jubilee School in West Philadelphia, a tiered income school focused on the integration of scholarship and social action. She also taught acting and voice at University of Texas at Austin, directed middle and high school musicals at Headwaters School, and she currently teaches for the Brooklyn Jewish Performing Arts Company. Alexis holds a B.A. in Gender Studies from Brown University and an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin. When she is not performing, you can find her teaching improv to tech-free adults in the woods at Camp Grounded.
