In communities worldwide, small businesses are more than just places of commerce—they are engines of opportunity, resilience, and transformation. Yet today, many entrepreneurs, particularly those in vulnerable regions, face growing economic challenges, funding gaps, and fewer resources to sustain their businesses.
Right now, nonprofits like Building Markets—which support small business growth globally—are facing unprecedented funding challenges due to the stop work order on foreign assistance. This means the private sector and philanthropy must step up like never before.
Our Goal
At Building Markets, we believe that strong businesses create strong communities. That’s why we’ve launched the Enterprise to End Poverty Campaign, an ambitious initiative to raise $100,000 in 100 days to ensure that small business leaders worldwide have access to the training, resources, and capital they need to thrive.
On February 25th, we invite you to be part of this movement by joining us for a Maydan four course meal at Medina, one of DC’s most vibrant dining experiences. This special evening will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who share a commitment to economic empowerment and sustainable impact.
