Kavickumar is a pioneer Singaporean sustainability, ESG, and renewable energy professional in Asia with over 13 years of experience across EMEA and APAC. He has undertaken senior global and regional roles within some of the world’s largest technology, food and beverage, renewable energy, and agribusiness corporations. He currently leads Microsoft’s sustainability and policy efforts in APAC for its cloud and data center business.
His technical specialties lie in policy development & implementation, climate & decarbonization strategy, voluntary carbon credits & markets, emissions trading schemes, nature-based climate solutions, life cycle analysis & assessments, ESG & climate risk, sustainability innovation & digital strategy, renewable energy, circular strategies, ESG finance, impact investing, supply chain ESG due diligence, green buildings, sustainability reporting, carbon, energy, and waste management.
His current roles include being co-chair of the sustainability working group at the Asia Cloud Computing Association, an executive member of the data center chapter of the Singapore Computer Society, a member of the sustainability committee at SGTech, a sustainability working committee member on greenwashing at Public Relations and Communications Association APAC, a Worklife Harmony ambassador for the Tripartite Alliance for Fair Progressive Employment Practices and an adjunct faculty member at the National University of Singapore School of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) University.
