Banu Kosar
Growth and Training Officer
Banu Kosar is currently serving as a Growth and Training Officer at Building Markets Latin America team. With over 7 years of experience in the entrepreneurship and venture capital investment ecosystem in Türkiye and Europe, Banu began her career as a community leader in an early-stage Venture Capital Fund in Istanbul. She subsequently joined the customer success team of a fast-growing European marketplace business before becoming a Program Manager at Workup, where she ran the Startup Accelerator Program in exclusive partnership with one of the largest private banking groups in Türkiye. In this role, she helped over 20 startups raise investment and structured a $100,000+ perk package for the program’s five cohorts. Banu also operated the Google for Startups’ partnership in Türkiye for a year. Recently, she worked as an associate consultant with an early-stage Venture Capital Fund in Türkiye, focusing on creating and screening deal flows and managing digital assets. Banu holds a BA in Digital Communication and is passionate about working with entrepreneurs who are enthusiastic about their businesses.
