In 2023, Building Markets provided critical support to entrepreneurs against a backdrop of major global upheaval — inflation, war and disaster, climate change, and growing political and public resistance to refugees. We facilitated the creation of 2,240 jobs in economically vulnerable communities, helped displaced and marginalized small businesses win USD $14.9 million in contracts, and trained 2,002 people people to help them grow their businesses.
