Deanna Fanelli
Business Development Manager
Deanna Fanelli is the Business Development Manager at Building Markets.
Deanna most recently served as a Program Manager at Strategic Impact Advisors (SIA), a consulting firm specializing in digital financial services, economic empowerment, and financial inclusion. At SIA, she was responsible for managing the firm’s business development activities and implementing women’s economic empowerment projects. She has conducted comprehensive research on barriers to women’s financial inclusion, developed training materials and curriculums for women-owned SMEs, and supported agritechs in scaling their service offerings to smallholder farmers.
Deanna previously worked at NASA to map flood-prone areas in Central America in support of governments’ natural disaster monitoring and mitigation efforts. She has also supported several projects and campaigns at UN Women-Los Angeles and the University of California National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement.
Deanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development with minors in Spanish and Geospatial Information Systems from UCLA. Outside of work, Deanna likes to travel and volunteer at animal shelters.
